Hi! My name is Susie Atlas, your personal treasure hunter, curator, and designer ✨

So who’s Corazona? That’s me! The first time my mom brought me to Mexico as a baby, my tía Diana took one look at me and it just came out — “ay, qué Corazona!” I was this tiny thing with the biggest heart, so she took corazón and added an “a” at the end, because I was a girl. She made the word up on the spot. It’s been my Mexican name ever since, so when I started this whole thing, there was never really another name I considered.

Half my family is from Guadalajara, and Mexico has always had my heart — ever since I was a little girl, I looked forward to summers when I’d visit my family there. I loved everything about the country: the colors, the food, the markets, the crafts, and of course the people that make the culture.

But it was the artisans that really got me. The patience it takes to place every single bead, and the meticulous detail in these little works of art. I wanted to highlight their talent and help support them by bringing a piece of the magic back to you!

Casa Corazona cultivates relationships with artisans throughout Mexico to create collaborative pieces that preserve and reinterpret their craft. You’ll find a mix of curated pieces along with some of my personal designs inspired by nature, playful nostalgia, and whatever is currently popping.

While our collections are playful, we don’t play around when it comes to the environment. Everything from product to packaging is thoughtfully considered with sustainability top of mind. All packaging is recyclable or compostable for complete circularity and no plastics are ever used.
